    What is success?

      Print Email

There are many definitions of success pronounced by many people according to how they see things. Many have defined success based on two perspectives: Material possessions and academic achievement. My approach to success is however from a spiritual perspective. I find it completely unjustifiable to look at it from any other angle before looking at the spiritual side. Man is a spirit and everything man does is influenced from the spirit before it manifests as any of the two, academic or material.

Firstly lets look at the verse that speaks about it; Genesis 1:27-28 (AMP) "So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him, male and female He created them. 28. And God said to them, be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it [using  all its vast resources in the service of God and man]; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and over every living creature that moves upon the earth.

This is a clear indication of what God has done for us. He has enabled everyone male and female  to become a success story on his/her own. You are therefore mandated to reproduce yourself and influence the earth just as God will. That's why he decided to empower you with His image and likeness. This guarantees you to succeed in your endeavor to influence the earth.

Now, what is success? I define success as the correct interpretation and translation of the innate gift into manifestation in the physical. Everybody is born with the burning desire which troubles them or keeps them awake when everybody is asleep. It is  however not an easy thing to tap into it without evoking the Spirit of God inside of you. God Himself has given this gift which must work for Him and for you as you saw in the scripture above.

Hold on a second. Lets go to 2 Corinthians 5:5; "Now He who has fashioned [Preparing and making us fit] us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the [Holy] Spirit as a guarantee [of fulfilment of His promise]. I guess by now you are getting the clear picture of the depth that God went to ensure that the burning desire comes to fulfillment and give birth to the success that I am talking about.

It therefore means that regardless of how many academic qualifications you can get, those qualifications will not reveal the burning desire for you. what starts is the burning desire  and qualifications can come later to enhance the manifestation of the burning desire to bring success. It is this translation and interpretation that you should strive and desire to have for you burning desire to manifest from Spiritual to the physical. If your burning desire is leadership, teaching, entrepreneurship, counseling, creative arts, or music, it burns first in your spirit and when you get to the level of bringing it out for the glory of God and that of man, then you begin to walk in the journey of your success.

May God keep you safe at this time of the Lockdown and enjoy the rest.
